Organizer/Producer Peter Blum has been fascinated by stories all of his life. A practitioner of Ericksonian hypnosis, he is a leading exponent of the use of story to induce trance and make effective suggestions to the unconscious. He has studied trans-cultural shamanism for over 30 years, primarily with Joseph Rael (Beautiful Painted Arrow) and Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona. Since 2008, he has been co-presenting yearly workshops with Dr. Mehl-Madrona on “Hypnotic Fables and Narrative Trancework”. Peter has given presentations at annual conventions of the National Guild of Hypnotists, and the Int’l Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association on the use of story in hypnotherapy. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of SageArts, a non-profit organization that brings songwriters and elders together to collaboratively write a song based on the elder’s life experience.
